After subcommittee meetings
(usually around 7:00), we grab boats and head to the pool for roll practice.
Like the meetings, we have pool sessions year-round, except during finals
week and when Tech is on break. Participants are welcome to
use ORGT gear if they like, or bring their own
if they prefer. People using their own gear still need to come by
ORGT to sign in before going to the pool, because only people who are on
the sign-in sheet will be able to get into the pool facilities. We
usually wrap things up at the pool around 9:30 (or whatever time you want
to leave if you bring your own gear).
Due to space limitations and liability concerns, ORGT pool sessions are limited to GT students, faculty, and staff, and ORGT volunteers. Qualified participants may sponsor guests on evenings they are present, and a $5 CRC guest fee applies in those cases. In addition, pool sessions are limited to ORGT kayak class students and their instructors for the first two pool sessions of the kayak class each semester.
