General Description

The Jack's River flows East to West along the northern border of the Cohuttas Wilderness Area in northwest Georgia. This makes a great day trip, particularly in the summer when the river destination makes a great place to cool off. Jack's River Falls also make a great lunch spot and is one of N. Georgia's most dramatic waterfalls.

  Camp sites: Many sites. No permit needed

  Special Condsiderations: Many stream crossings and one fairly deep river crossing. Prepare to be wet.

  Other Notes: The falls are especially beautiful. Good lunch spot.



How to Get there

  General Direction to TH: Take I75 North to Dalton to Ga Hwy 2. Take Hwy 2 east to Cisco and cross 411 onto Old Ga   Hwy 2. Follow directions in the Ga conservancy's guide to the North Ga mountains
